In a further despatch from the foredeck of yacht Discovery, we understand our former President has sailed on from Stornaway in Shetland. Working down the West coast and into the Irish Sea, visiting Ulster and the Inner Hebrides, she has managed to locate two more St Ayles skiffs:
One in a garage in Carrickfergus, County Antrim in Northern Ireland…
The other in in the peaty, malt whisky haven of Islay…
Sailing a 70ft ketch round the top of Britain doesn’t leave much time for coastal rowing but a good Skiffie will always sniff out a St Ayles wherever it may lurk!
