Rowing in the Wind.

Diana, David, Peter, Duncan and Barry headed into a fresh north westerly wind on Tuesday 17th September and made for Pinchen’s Creek. The tide was again surprisingly high and the outward journey called for firm, steady timing which David supplied at stroke. Duncan, fresh from Saturday’s Great River Race, and Diana took the middle positions and Peter rowed at bow. Barry coxed and only occasionally exaggerated the distance which had been covered. The refreshment stop on the beach was well worth the effort. A change of rowing positions, and the wind assisted return row seemed to pass very quickly. A second crew were spotted in the distance going in great style: Rob, Jenny, Tom H, Sue and Calum.

A memorable morning on the water! Thanks to Diana for the picture.
