On Wednesday 16th October the crew below braved a strongish offshore wind and the possibility of rain to row up the Cley channel. Diana, Peter, David, John and Barry took “Hoi Larntan” around the corner in search of more sheltered rowing and made steady progress. John kept up a metronomic stroke which Diana, David and Peter followed precisely. The turning point was reached with ease and then, at the beginning of the return journey, it was a case of drifting in the right direction whilst sharing biscuits and coffee. Positions were changed and rowing was soon resumed towards the wider water. Diana took this picture just before the effort was picked up once more. It was a really enjoyable morning on the water.
