Rowing Towards Cley.

On Sunday 12th September, Anna, an experienced rower from Norwich Rowing Club, and her friend Karen joined Catherine, Diana and Barry for a social row to Cley. It was a busy morning on the water and the Cut was full of all manner of sailing craft. Catherine coxed on the outward journey, Barry stroked, Anna rowed at three, Karen at two with Diana at bow. The crew fell into a steady, comfortable rhythm: the guests were naturals.

Once the turning point in the Cley Channel was reached, there was a chocolate biscuit stop, a complete change of positions and a row home into a light headwind. It was good to have Adrian H on well timed trolley duties on the slipway.

Hope to see Anna and Karen rowing at Blakeney again soon,.
