Thanks to Rosemary for the evocative description and pictures concerning the picnic row on October 15th.
“Well, it was nearly as if spring had sprung at Barton when Adrian, Lynne, Sue, Robin and Rosemary set off this afternoon. The skiff was kindly left ready to go by the morning rowers and so no exertion was required before we rowed away. A steady row across Barton Broad to Gaye’s State where we reversed in in style, missing fishing lines, moored cruisers and trees.. Then a short walk to work up an appetite for lunch. Champagne kindly provided by the Hodges, a standing picnic followed by the row back and up the Ant a distance with several cruisers and back to Barton Turf.”
