The weather was absolutely stunning on the morning of Friday 19th November as Sue, Barry, Tom, David and Andrew set off for How Hill. Extra layers of warm, winter clothing had to be removed just before entering Barton Broad. Tom, at stroke, kept a steady rhythm, with David and Andrew in the powerhouse and Sue at bow. Timing was excellent. Barry coxed to How Hill, where refreshments were taken, and the picture below was snapped by a helpful passer-by who would love to come rowing. Contact details were given.
Tom and Barry exchanged seats for the return journey during which pleasant greetings were exchanged with fishermen and cruisers. A sailing dinghy occupying the slipway at Cox’s Boatyard held matters up for a while but ”Bluejacket” was soon stored safely ready for the next outing. A really enjoyable morning’s rowing.
